ISLAMABAD: IBSF World Jr. U-18 Snooker Champion & Defending Champion Muhammad Naseem Akhtar successfully defended his title of Pakistan Junior U-21 Champion for the consecutive second year when he trounced Muhammad Shahbaz by 6-3 in the final match of Jubilee Insurance 10th National Junior U-21 Snooker Championship 2018 at PSB Billiards & Snooker Hall, Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad. Friday.
The score was 6-3 (63-26, 107-17(74), 23-60, 60-17, 35-66, 51-64, 61-12, 59-05, 65-53)
34 players from Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, KPK and Islamabad participated in the week long Championship organized by Pakistan Billiards & Snooker Association (PBSA) in collaboration with Pakistan Sports Board and Jubilee Insurance.
The winner of National U-21 Championship Muhammad Naseem Akhtar got the purse of Rupees 50,000 with trophy, while runner up Muhammad Shahbaz won Rupees 25,000 with trophy. Rupees 5,000 was awarded to Muhammad Naseem Akhtar for making the highest break of 111.
The winner of National U-18 Muhammad Umer Khan of Punjab was awarded Rupees 50. 000 cash award with trophy, Muhammad Mudassir Sheikh, runner Up wonRupees 25,000 with trophy. Muhammad Mudassir Sheikh was also given Rupees 5,000 cash award with trophy for his highest break of 65.
Total prize money was Rupees 130,000Â for each Championship of U-18 and U-21.
