Pakistan WAPDA won the gold medal by defeating Pakistan Army after a thrilling contest in the final of the 18th National Women’s Baseball Championship 2024. The HEC team won the Bronze medal.
On the last day of the 18th National Women’s Baseball Championship being played at FC College Lahore, the final match of the championship was played between the teams of Pakistan Army and Pakistan WAPDA. Both the teams consisted of experienced players who entertained the fans with their excellent play. The winner of the thrilling and exciting final match was decided in the last innings of the match and WAPDA players showed their best game and won the gold medal by winning the match 13 – 10.
For Pakistan WAPDA, Gul Feroza scored 3 runs, Anila Rasheed, Madeeha Rasheed and Umm-e-Hani scored 2 runs while Ayesha Ejaz, Saiqa Riaz, Noreena Khalid and Iram Shahzadi scored one run each and contributed to the victory.
For Pakistan Army, Maida Batool scored 3 runs, Atiya Saif scored 2 runs while Zahida Ghani, Asia Siddiqa, Momina and Samia Khalid scored one run each.
At the end of the match, the Chief Guest Shaukat Javed, President of Pakistan Federation Baseball, distributed the prizes among the players.
18th National Women’s Baseball C’ship 2024: Day 3 | WAPDA & Punjab Teams Victorious
The competitions of 18th National Women’s Baseball Championship under the auspices of Pakistan Federation Baseball are underway at FC College, Lahore. Teams form four provinces, Islamabad, Pakistan Army, Pakistan WAPDA, Pakistan Police and HEC are participating in the championship. Pakistan Army team is defending its honor. Two matches were played on the third day of the championship. In the first match, the WAPDA defeated the HEC team, while in the second match, Punjab defeated the Khyber Pakhtunkhaw.
In the first of the two matches played on the third day of the championship, Pakistan WAPDA team defeated HEC team by 17-6. From WAPDA, Iqra Nawaz scored 3 runs, Gul Feroza, Madiha Rasheed, Sumbal, Umm-e-Hani, Sidra Riasat and Iram Shahzadi scored 2 runs each while Ayesha Ejaz and Noreena Khalid scored one run each. From HEC side, Mah Noor scored 2 runs while Amina, Aleena, Hifza and Khadija Zeb scored 1 run each.
In the second match, the Punjab team defeated the Khyber Pakhtunkhaw team 5-0. For Punjab, Allie, Samra, Nida, Sana and Hina scored one run each.

The second day of 18th National Women’s Baseball Championship continued with two matches being played the overview of which are appended below.
Day 2 Matches Overview
Match 1 – The Pakistan Army defeated Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by 18-0 under the mercy rule. From Army side, Atiya Saif, Maida Batool, Zahida Ghani, Asia Siddiqa, Fareeha Nayab, Momina, Rashida Parveen, Rabia Shahid and Samia Khalid scored two runs each.
Match 2 – HEC defeated Islamabad 14-2 under the mercy rule. For HEC, Mah Noor scored 3 runs, Alina, Hafizah and Khadija Zeb scored 2 runs while Alashba, Qandeel, Khadija Mehreen, Amina and Sajal scored one run each. For Islamabad, Shazia Javed and Chaman Mushtaq scored one run each.

The 18th National Women’s Baseball Championship under the auspices of the Pakistan Federation Baseball commenced at FC College, Lahore. Apart from the four provinces, teams from Islamabad, Pakistan Army, Pakistan WAPDA, Pakistan Police and HEC are participating in the championship. Pakistan Army team is the defending champion.
Day 1 Matches Overview
First match – The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa team defeated the Pakistan Police team by 16-6. For Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Nida and Aiman Malik scored three runs each, Maria, Muqadas and Sidra Khattak scored two runs each while Hina, Mah Noor, Sidra and Rameen scored one run each and contributed to the victory. While for Police team, Aleena, Iqra, Huma, Fazila, Allah Mafi and Mona scored one run each.
16th National Women’s Baseball C’ship: Day 1; Four Matches Decided
Second match – Pakistan WAPDA defeated Islamabad 16-1 under mercy rule. For Pakistan WAPDA, Madeeha, Gul Feroza, Saiqa, Sidra Riasat, Iqra, Noreena and Ayesha scored two runs each while Hurraira and Iram scored one run. Chaman Mushtaq scored the only run for Islamabad.
Third match – Pakistan Army defeated the Punjab team in a one-sided match by 17-0 in the second innings of the match under mercy rule. Three Army players including Zahida Ghani, Asia Siddiqa and Atiya Saif scored three runs each, while Maida Batool, Rabia Shahid and Samia Khalid scored two runs each, while Rashida and Fareeha Nayab scored one run each. Army’s Zahida Ghani hit the first home run of the championship.
Two matches will be played tomorrow, Saturday, 2nd March in the championship.
