1st ACBS Asian Tour 10 Red Snooker Championship 2018: Day 2
QATAR: The 1st edition of Asian Ranking Tour 10 Red Snooker Championship 2018 commenced and will be held in Doha, Qatar from 26th till 29th September 2018.
Being played under new format, the first edition of this championship is taking place in Doha, Qatar. The participating players are in total 24, which have been invite based on the criteria appended below:
- 2 players from each host countries + two extra when event is held in host country.
- 2 players from Europe, 1 Africa and 1 Oceania.
- 6 from Asia.
The players have been divided into 8 groups for matches to be played on round-robin basis. After the 1st session the first 2 players from each group have been qualified for the single elimination round of Last-16.
Asian Team Snooker Championship 2018: Latest Update Day 3
On Day 2 – today, after completion of group stage Brendan O’ Donoghue, was the most outstanding player with no frame loss and booked top-seed slot for him. He defeated both his opponents 4-0, in group matches which included: Mohamed Ibrahim of Egypt and Ali Alobaidli of Qatar .

- As 2nd seed – Thanawat Thirapongpaeboon of Thailand
- As 3rd seed – Amir Sarkhosh of Iran
- As 4th seed – Pankaj Advani from India

Total Prize fund of each leg of Asian Ranking Tour 10 Red Snooker Championship is USD $40,000. Prize money break-up is as follows:
- Winner: USD $ 12,000
- Runner-Up: USD $ 6,000

- Quarter Finalist: USD $ 1500 (each)
- Pre-Quarter Finalist: USD $ 750 (each)
