The first Arab five-a-side hockey championship will be hosted in Saudi Arabia, according to an announcement by SHF-Saudi Hockey Federation.
The championship to be held in Green Halls Complex in Riyadh from 5th to 9th January, includes seven teams including Alrayan Club, Alzamalek Club, Oman Pioneers and a number of expatriate teams active in Saudi Arabia. And also the first Saudi hockey team.

The championship will have supervisory specialists and experts from the IHF-International Hockey Federation.
Mohammed Al-Mandiel, President SHF, mentioned that the objective of holding Arab and international championships comes within with the Saudi Vision 2030. Further, to introduce the game to the masses and the sports community as it is important to raise the quality of life and sports development.
