1st Qatar 6 Red World Snooker 2019: Amir From Iran Wins Inaugural Event
QATAR: The First Qatar 6Red World Cup 2019 Title was won by Amir Sarkhosh of Iran. He won the title 7-6 from Thanawat Tirapongpaiboon of Thailand. held at QBSF Academy in Doha.
The Final order of the Medal winners was a follows:
- Gold –  Amir Sarkosh, Iran
- Silver –  Thanawat Tirapongpaiboon, Thailand
- Bronze –Â Muhammad Bilal, Pakistan
The final match was breath taking for the player and also the audience. It was a close call for winner Amir. At start with lead of 3 -1 Thanawat was in comfortable position with a classy break in fourth frame of 67 points. Amir reduced the gap with a break of 50 but Thanawat continued his lead with a commanding mood and play and contributed through another 68 points break.
Final Complete Results
Thanawat continued his confident stride and won another frame to increase his lead to 5-2. However, then the luck favoured Amir and Thanawat lost couple of frames which basically were his. After these 2 frame loses Amir gradually took control of the game and move the score to 6-5.
1st Qatar 6 Red World Snooker 2019: Day 3 –Â Last 16 RoundÂ
At this crucial junction, Thanawat regained his confidence and came back to win a frame and have score equal at 6-6, and set a decider for the final outcome.
However, the decider was for Amir who played a few memorable shots to win 7-6.
Earlier in the Semi-final Amir Sarkosh beat Muhammad Bilal 6-2.
