Despite a state of emergency in Sri Lanka, the visiting Pakistan cricket teams tour will continue.
According to PCB-Pakistan Cricket Board based on constant contact with SLC-Sri Lanka Cricket and the Pakistan High Commission in Sri Lanka, the series will proceed as planned with the first test to start on Saturday, 16th July. For which the team will fly to Galle on Thursday.
Pakistan even during the tense political conditions has already played a a three-day warm up match in Colombo against the Sri Lanka Cricket XI.
The schedule of the 2 test series is as follows:
Test 1: 16th till 20th July at Galle International Stadium, Galle
Time: 10:00 AM Sri Lanka / 04:30 AM GMT / 9:30 AM Pakistan
Test 2: 24th till 28th July at R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo
Time: 10:00 AM Sri Lanka / 04:30 AM GMT / 9:30 AM Pakistan
In recent days Sri Lanka due to economic conditions has been in state of turmoil with the main city Colombo under curfew. The extent has been with people having stormed the Prime Minister residence and the President fleeing to nearby country Maldives.
