Pakistan’s six-member team will participate in the 2022 WCC-World Cycling Championship, to be held from 18th to 25th September in Wollongong, Australia.
WCC is considered among the first five major Global sporting events with more than 1,000 top international cyclists from 70 plus nations participating. Further, it is watched by more than 300 million viewers around the world.
According to PCF-Pakistan Cycling Federation, the trials were held in Quetta, Karachi and Lahore. The selected players from all the provinces participated in the Lahore trail, after which the best performing players were selected for the Pakistan team which includes:
Zainab Rizwan, Rabia Gharib and Maryam Aslam – Junior Women’s category
Najeebullah and Ismail in Men’s category
Najeebullah and Muhammad Ismail, will participate in the individual events of Road and Under-23 categories. The team is accompanied by Manager, Musazim Khan Claire and Coach, Mumtaz Riaz.
