Pakistan was awarded hosting of Asian Open Taekwondo Championship for second successive year.
The decision was taken by 30 Asian member countries during the Executive Office and General Assembly of the ATU-Asian Taekwondo Union held in Beirut, Lebanon. According to the ATU scheduled the 5th edition will be held from 1st to 5th November in Islamabad the capital city of Pakistan,
ATU President Lee Kyu Seok announced that the hosting of the 5th Asian Open Taekwondo Championship will be held in Pakistan and assured full support to the PTF-Pakistan Taekwondo Federation for the championship. Kyu Seok Lee added that a major reason for awarding to Pakistan was the successful hosting of the 4th Asian Open Taekwondo Championship during 2022 by PTF.
PTF President, Mr. Waseem Janjua termed the hosting of the Asian Championship as an honour for Pakistan and thanked ATU President Lee Kyu Seok and other ATU officials.
