Pakistan’s first-ever World Athletics-certified marathon – The Karachi Marathon, was successfully held. Similar to many international marathons held in various cities of the world like New York, Boston, London, Paris.
The marathon having two main events was participated by considerable runners belonging all walks of life and genders. The winners were:
42.2-kilometer Full Marathon
Amir Sohail emerged as the winner and crossed the finish line in an impressive 2 hour; 36 minutes and 9 seconds. Israr Khatak was 2nd and Aamer Abbas secured the 3rd position.
21.1-kilometer Half Marathon
Hafeezul Barkat was victorious with a time of 1 hour, 17 minutes, and 12 seconds. Mohammad Akram was 2nd to cross the line and Zaher Shah finished 3rd.
