The Iranian men’s team was victorious to win the 2024 Men’s Indoor Hockey Asia Cup in Kazakhstan, by defeating the Malaysian team.
The Iranian players were dominant from the start and opened the account in the second minute. They continued the pressure on Malaysia’s defense and doubled their score two minutes later and by half-time two more goals in quick succession.
In the second half Iranian attacks resulted in the fifth goal. Malaysian team in the 30th minute netted a sole consolation goal.
Later on, the Iranian men’s national indoor field hockey team could get two more goals and deservedly lifted the trophy. Iran is the most decorated Asian team, having won nine editions.
