Pak Team Trial Day 2 | Puri Estate Team Takes The Lead
National Bridge Trials spanning over eight hectic days of competitive bridge conducted by Pakistan Bridge Federation are in progress at Karachi Gymkhana. At the end of the second day, the first days leading team Ghazi stands pushed back and the front liner is the Puri Estate Team who managed to overcome all impediments to emerge on top.
During the course of seven rounds on Wednesday, the Puri Estate Team comprising of seasoned bridge players Hamed Mohiuddin, Yasser Rahim, Muhammed Mubashir Puri, Khaled Mohiuddin, Junaid Said and Fawad Hakim accumulated 87.97 points to show their strength and forcefulness. Placed in second position is the Kamran Team at a score of 81.45 points through steadiness of team effort. Team members of Kamran Team are Kamran Ibrahim, Mirza Shauq Hussain, Ghalib Bandesha, Masood Mazhar, Zakir Mehmood and Azhar Hamid.
Out of the other aspiring teams seeking national honors, the prominent ones are Allana Team placed at 80.38 points, the Ghazi Team at 79.08 points and Kaagaz Team at 78.10 points.
The Karachi FBR and Islamabad Teams lag behind. Karachi FBR Team accumulated 49.42 points and Islamabad Aces ended the day at 47.60 points .
The national trials activity will continue on Thursday, being the third day of the eight days trials for selection of national bridge team due to compete in Bridge Federation of Asia and Middle East (BFAME Championship).
