For the losing side, Juan Cruz Greguol pumped in all the five goals.

Remington Pharma outlasted Diamond Paints/Sheikhoo Steel 7-4. For Remington Pharma, Hamza Nawaz Khan emerged as hero of the day as he smashed in superb five goals while Ahmed Zubair Butt converted a beautiful brace. For Diamond Paints/Sheikhoo Steel, Osman Aziz Anwar, Omer Asjad Malhi, Mir Huzaifa Ahmed and Nicolas Antinori scored one goal each.
Talking to media after the prize distribution ceremony, Mian Abbas Mukhtar and Farhad Muhammad Shaikh from FG/Din Polo said: “The way the spectators supported polo at the Lahore Polo Club boosted the morale of the teams. We worked really hard and this title triumph is the result of this hard work. We will work harder and try to win more titles in the upcoming high-goal events.”
At the concluding ceremony, officials of Coca-Cola and Century Ventures distributed prizes and shields among the winners and top performers.
Day 10 | Newage/Master & FG/Din Polo Book Berths In Final
Newage Cables/Master Paints and FG/Din Polo booked berths in the main final of the Coca-Cola Aibak Polo Cup 2022 after winning their respective semi-finals played here at the Lahore Polo Club.
The final will be played at the Lahore Polo Club ground at 3:00 PM.
Semi Final 1
Team Newage Cables/Master Paints defeated Team Diamond Paints by 9½-7. Juan Cruz Greguol emerged as hero of the day as he smashed in superb six goals while his teammates Adnan Jalil Azam, Alman Jalil Azam and Farooq Amin Sufi converted one goal each for Newage Cables/Master Paints, which had a half goal handicap advantage. For Team Diamond Paints, Abdur Rehman Monnoo hammered a hat-trick of goals while Lt Col Omer Minhas (R) and Ahmed Ali Tiwana banged in a brace each.
Semi Final 2
Team FG/Din Polo outlasted Team Remounts by 10½-3. Thomas Marin Moreno played hero’s role in the winning team’s triumph as he played superb polo and hammered impressive six goals while he was ably assisted by Farhad Muhammad Sheikh and Mian Abbas Mukhtar, who slammed in three and one goal respectively for FG/Din Polo. Raja Temur Nadeem, Muhammad Shahzad and Sawar Muhammad Naeem managed to convert one goal each for Team Remounts.
Day 9 | Diamond/Sheikhoo Steel & Remington Pharma Qualify Subsidiary Finalist | Semi Finals Scheduled On Friday
Diamond Paints/Sheikhoo Steel and Remington Pharma qualified for the subsidiary finals of the Coca-Cola Aibak Polo Cup 2022 at the Lahore Polo Club. On Friday, 25th November, the first semifinal will be between Diamond Paints and Newage Cables/Master Paints at 2:00 pm, while the second semifinal will be contested between FG/Din Polo and Remounts at 3:00 pm.
Platinum Homes defeated Master Paints Black while Salam Polo defeated Guard Rice on penalty shootouts before Thursday’s matches, that were sponsored by Coca-Cola as title sponsors and Century 99 as the co-sponsors.
Match 1
Remington Pharma outpaced Salam Polo by 8-5½. Hamza Mawaz Khan was the key contributor from the winning side as he not only played outstanding polo but also smashed in superb six goals.
His teammates Ahmed Zubair Butt and Ahmad Bilal Riaz successfully converted one goal apiece. Ali Tanveer Islam and Nico Ruiz thrashed in two goals each while Hamza Ali Hakeem converted one goal for Salam Polo, which had a half goal handicap advantage.
Jhon Fisher and Manuel Carranza officiated the match as field umpires.

The closely contested second match of the day saw Diamond Paints/Sheikhoo Steel defeating Platinum Homes by 10-7½. For Diamond Paints/Sheikho Steel, Nicolas Antinori did the magic with mallet and polo pony and hammered superb seven goals out of ten. The remaining contribution from the winning team came from Omar Asjad Malhi and Mir Huzaifa Ahmed as they pumped in two and one goal respectively.
Amirreza Behboudi played well for the losing side as he malleted fabulous five goals while Agha Musa and Bilal Noon converted one goal each from Platinum Homes, which also had a half goal handicap advantage.
Jhon Fisher and Saqib Khan Khakwani supervised the encounter as field umpires.
Day 8 | Semifinalists Decided; Manuel & Hamza In Thunderbolt Moods
An intriguing men’s semifinal line-up is in the offing at Coca-Cola Aibak Polo Cup 2022 following the completion of the league matches, which have seen some fantastic matches taking place at the historic Aibak Polo Ground in Lahore Polo Club.
Sub & Semi-Finals Schedule
The losing teams will compete on Thursday, 24th November to earn a place in the subsidiary final while both the semifinals will be played on Friday, 25th November to decide the finalists of the prestigious two-week eight-goal event. The Friday encounters include at 2:00 PM, the first semifinal between Newage Cables/Master Paints and Diamond Paints, while the second semifinal will be competed at 3:00 PM between FG/Din Polo and Remounts.

Match 1
On Wednesday, 23rd November, the last two league matches were played and both proved one-sided affairs. In the first match of the day, Remington Pharma thrashed Rijas by a huge margin of 10-3½. Hamza Mawaz Khan played a hero’s role in his team’s triumph as he played excellent polo and fired in fabulous five goals while his teammates Ahmed Zubair Butt also shone with three goals and Basil Faisal Khokhar scored two goals for Remington Pharma. Team Rijas, which had a one and a half goal handicap advantage, could score one goal apiece while Bilal Haye and Mustafa Aziz scored one goal each.
Match 2
Master Paints Black outsmarted Salam Polo team by 9-3 in the second match. Manuel Carranza smashed in superb seven goals while Sufi Haroon and Sufi Mohammad Amir slammed in one goal each for Master Paints Black. Nicolas Ruiz Guinazo thrashed in three goals for Team Salam Polo.
Day 7 | Newage/Master Team Qualifies For Semifinals
Another team – Newage Cables/Master Paints – qualified for the semifinals of the Coca-Cola Aibak Polo Cup 2022 here at the Lahore Polo Club ground. On Wednesday; 23rd November the last two league matches will be played.
Match 1
A thrilling encounter, in which Newage Cables/Master Paints edged past Diamond Paints/Sheikhoo Steel by a narrow margin of 9½-9. Juan Cruz Greguol played such marvelous polo throughout the match that his classic contribution of excellent eight goals helped his side win the match by a close margin of 9½-9.
The remaining one goal for the winning team was converted beautifully by Alman Jalil Azam. On the other hand, Nicolas Antinori also gave a tough time to the winning team as he successfully converted fabulous five goals for the losing side. His teammate Mir Huzaifa Ahmed also played well and banged in a beautiful brace and Omer Asjad Malhi, and Usman Aziz Anwar converted one goal each, but their efforts proved futile in the end.
Match 2
The second match also saw both the teams – Platinum Homes and Guard Rice – playing well and scoring crucial goals to make the match enthralling and challenging. After a tough contest, Platinum Homes succeeded in outpacing Guard Rice by a close margin of 9-7.
Iranian player Amirreza Behboudi was in sublime form and played excellent polo throughout the match and succeeded in smashing in superb six goals while his teammate Agha Musa Ali Khan hammered a hat-trick of goals for Platinum Homes.
For the losing team – Guard Rice – the key contributors were Taimur Ali Malik, who thrashed in three tremendous goals and Saqib Khan Khakwani and Hamza Ejaz, who both scored two goals each – from Team Guard Rice.

FG/Din Polo and Newage Cables/Master Paints recorded comfortable victories in the Coca-Cola Aibak Polo Cup 2022 matches played here at the Lahore Polo Club ground on Monday. On Tuesday, 22nd November, two matches will be played at 1.30 pm, while the second one at 2.30 pm.
Match 1
FG/Din Polo defeated Team Barry’s/DS Polo by 12.5-5 goals in the first match. Tomas Marin Moreno emerged as hero of the day as he displayed outstanding mallet and pony work and successfully converted superb six goals from the winning side.
Mian Abbas Mukhtar also played well and fired in fabulous four goals while Farhad Muhammad Shaikh thrashed in two tremendous goals for Team FG/Din Polo, while they had also a handicap advantage of half goal. On the other hand, Rulo Trotz slammed in four goals and Daniyal Shaikh converted one for Team Barry’s/DS Polo.

The second match of the day was dominated by Team Newage Cables/Master Paints, who overpowered Team Rijas by 10-4.5. Juan Cruz Greguol did the magic with mallet and polo pony and smashed in splendid seven goals while Adnan Jalil Azam hammered an impressive hat-trick for Newage Cables/Master Paints. Bilal Haye, Mian Mustafa Aziz and Nazar Dean Muhammad Khan scored one goal each for Team Rijas, which had also a handicap advantage of one and a half goals.
Day 5 | Remounts & Diamond Into Semi’s | Manuel; Temur & Shahzad In Superb Forms
Master Paints Black, Remounts and Diamond Paints recorded victories in the Coca-Cola Aibak Polo Cup 2022 matches played here at the Lahore Polo Club ground on Sunday. On Monday, 21st November two matches will be played.
Remounts from Zone D and Diamond Paints from Zone B also qualified for the semifinals of the two-week eight-goal tournament.
Aibak Polo Cup 2018: Barry’s and Diamond Paints/Guard Rice qualify for Final
In the first match of the day, Master Paints Black defeated Guard Rice 9-6½. Manuel Carranza emerged as hero of the day from the winning side as he displayed outstanding polo skills and techniques and smashed in superb six goals.
Sufi Muhammad Amir and Sufi Muhammad Haroon also played well for Master Paints Black and converted two and one goal respectively. Saqib Khan Khakwani and Taimoor Ali Malik scored two goals each while Taimur Noon and Hamza Ejaz scored one goal each for Guard Rice.

Remounts defeated Salam Polo by 10-4½ in the second encounter. Raja Temur Nadeem was in sublime form as he played excellent polo and slammed in superb six goals while Shahzad fired in fabulous four goals. Hamza Ali Hakeem and Raja Arsalan scored one goal each for Salam Polo. This victory helped Remounts qualify for the semifinals.
The third match of the day proved a nail-biting encounter where Diamond Paints edged out Platinum Homes by a narrow margin of 3-2½. Remounts and FG/Din Polo carved out contrasting victories in the Coca-Cola Aibak Polo Cup 2022 matches played at Lahore Polo Club grounds. The tournament will continue on Sunday, 20th November with three more matches to be contested.

The first match of the day proved a closely-contested encounter, where both the sides gave tough time to each other and after a tough fight, Team Remounts succeeded in edging past Team Diamond Paints by a close margin of 7 goals to 5 and a half.

On Friday, 18th November, matches will be played. At 2:00 pm, Diamond Paints Black will take on Remounts while at 3:00 pm, Remington Pharma will vie against FG/Din Polo.

The losing team – Salam Polo – had a two-goal handicap advantage while Rulo Trotz, a substitute for Nocolas Ruiz, scored two goals.
Match 2
Nicolas Antinori steered Diamond Paints/Sheikhoo Steel to a convincing 11-6 triumph over Barry’s/DS Polo team in the second match of the day.
Hero of the winning team – Nicolas Antinori – did the magic with his polo stick and horse and succeeded in smashing in superb seven goals. Mir Huzaifa Ahmed was the other key contributor from the Diamond Paints/Sheikhoo Steel as he thrashed in three tremendous goals while Usman Aziz Anwar struck one goal. Daniyal Sheikh and Rulo Trotz though hammered a hat-trick each for Barry’s/DS Polo, yet their efforts could not bear fruit for their side and they lost the crucial match by 6-11.

46th Aibak Polo Cup: Barry’s/DS Polo, Diamond Paints Win Openers
LAHORE (November 15, 2022): Teams Barry’s/DS Polo and Diamond Paints won the opening day matches of the Coca-Cola 46th Aibak Polo Cup played here at the Lahore Polo Club ground on Tuesday.
In the first match of the opening day, Barry’s/DS Polo outpaced Team Rijas by 9-5. Rulo Trotz played brilliantly for the winning team and smashed in superb seven goals, while Nafees Barry and Daniyal Shaikh also played well and contributed with one goal each. Faisal Shehzad, Mustafa Aziz and Nazar Dean Ali Khan slammed in one goal each for Team Rijas, which had a two-goal handicap advantage.
The second match of the opening day saw Diamond Paints defeating Master Paints by 9-5, thanks to superb performance by sensational Mir Shoaib Ahmed. Diamond Paints CEO Mir Shoaib Ahmed was hero of the day as he fired in four fabulous goals under the neck.
The two other notable performers were Mustafa Monnoo and Ahmed Ali Tiwana as both banged in a beautiful brace each. Lt Col Omer Minhas also played well and converted one goal. Manuel Carranza played well for Master Paints Black and thrashed in three goals while Sufi Muhammad Amir scored two goals.
The first match today (Wednesday) will be played between Remington Pharma and Diamond Paints/Sheikhoo Steel at 12:30 pm, the second one between Guard Rice and Remounts at 1:30 pm and the third one between Newage Cables/Master Paints and FG/Din Polo at 2:30 pm here at the Lahore Polo Club ground.
