The 4th Hi Tech Ladies and Juniors Golf Tournament backed by Hi Tech Grain Mills was contested over 18 holes yesterday at Royal Palm Golf Course.
It provided an opportunity for Ladies Amateurs classified into Gold Category for those playing to a handicap of 0-15, Silver Category for ladies playing to handicap range 16-24 and Bronze Category for lady competitors falling in handicap spread 25-36 to exhibit their golf playing skills and achieve honours plus a standing in the arena of ladies golf.
Pakistan 2nd Hi-Tech Ladies Golf 2020: Parkha Wins In Masterly Style
Parkha Ijaz who has the distinction of attaining a handicap of one succeeded in carving out a triumph for herself in this ladies exclusive by hitting her shots with the fluency of a gifted and astute competitor. Her score of gross 78 was also matched by her sister Rimsha Ijaz (handicap one) who ended up the 18 holes combat with a score of gross 78, but as per rules had to concede victory to Parkha as Parkha had a better score over the last nine holes.(Parkha ‘s score was 37 and Rimsha played 39). Another young one, Suneya Osama who is a notable one of the ladies golf scene and plays to a handicap of three secured the third gross position with a score of gross 82.
The remarkable ones in the race for net section honors in handicap category 0-15 were Zaib un Nisa, first net, Ghazala Yasmin, second net and Hadiya Osama, third net.
As regards the race for honours in handicap category 16-24, Dr Fauzia Umber won first gross, runner up gross was Momina Tarrar and 3rd place gross was Shahbana Waheed. To emerge as the best one in net section was Uzma Khurshid, followed by Dr Shaheen Irfan, 2nd net and Rabia Tiwana, 3rd net.
