Pakistani youth enjoys a particular affinity with technology, whether it comes to developing software, hacking, or just playing games on a computer, they are highly likely to be the best in the world.
Keeping the tradition intact Sumail Hassan, a 17 years old Pakistani teenager had made the country proud after becoming the third highest earning gamer in the world.
With earnings of $2,401,560, Sumail also holds the Guinness World Record for being the youngest gamer to surpass $1 million in tournament winnings.
Sumail is considered as the best mid-solo in DotA, globally. The teenager has also been featured in TIME Magazine’s top 30 influential teenagers in the world too, and was also the first ever Dota 2 player to be included in the magazine awards.
Pakistans e-game prodigy started playing Dota 2 when he was only seven years old, before moving to United States in 2014.
Known by his in-game name Suma1L, the teenager was a member of the team that won The International 2015, alongside Fear, Aui_2000, UNiVeRsE, and ppd.
E-games are a budding sports that has already developed into a multimillion dollar industry, and is expected to grow exponentially in the near future. Having Sumail in the top tier could hopefully open doors for other Pakistani gamers.
