Mohammad Irfan, Pakistan’s giant fast bowler, has been suspended by the Pakistan Cricket Board for violating anti-corruption code during the Pakistan Super League twenty20 championship.
According to reports, Mohammad Irfan appeared before Pakistan Cricket Board’s anti-corruption unit in Lahore on Monday and admitted that a bookie made a contact during the Pakistan Super League. Irfan did not report the matter to the cricket board.
Mohammad Irfan has been suspended for his connection with bookies and has to reply to a chargesheet in the next two weeks.
Mohammad Irfan is not the only one in the spot-fixing net. Sharjeel Khan ,Khalid Latif & Shahzaib Hasan are also in soup for meeting a bookie in Dubai. Sharjeel and Khalid were promptly taken off the tournament.
