The 5th Servis Tyres 15s Rugby Championship started in various cities of Pakistan. This year the Championship has been was divided in to 3 divisions.
Day 1 – two matches were played and the outcome was as follows:
– Shaheen Rugby Club (SRC) Mailsi beat Vehari Rugby Club (VRC) by 15-5. Played in the city of Malsi.
In first half Akram and Abdul Rasheed scored for SRC on two try. At half time Shaheen RC lead by 10 points. In 2nd half Ali from SRC scored another try and strengthened the team position. In last moments of 2nd half Abbas from VRC scored a try and scored 5 points.
– Dunyapur Rugby Club (DRC) beat Kot Addu Rugby Club (KTC) by 13-5. Played at Lodhran Rugby Ground
In first half both teams failed to score a try. In 2nd half Naveed scored a try which was converted by Raza,thereby, DRC grabbed 8 points. After 10 minutes Raza scored another try and ensured his team a victory. Before the end of 2nd half, Sajjad from Kot Addu scored a try and reduced the losing margin.
