PSL Points Table Guidelines
As per ICC-International Cricket Council standards, tournament policies and guidelines.
Same points system will be applied in PSL Points Table 2023 as done so in the past PSL seasons and any other team T20 tournament authorized by ICC.
The awarded points are as follows: Won Match – 2 points; Match With No Result – 1 point; Tied Match – 1 point.
For a drawn match only one point will be deducted, and for a Lost match zero-point will be deducted.
There will be two rounds of double rounds robin play in the tournament’s schedule.
Only the top four teams will be allowed to participate in the playoffs.
Teams will be ranked based on the following factors during the Group + Post group stages:
After the group phase, the team with the most wins on the PSL Points Table will be at 1st position.
Two teams having same points will be decided based on a better net run-rate. If the PSL Points Table’s points and net run rate are the same, the team with the most wins in the group phase will be ranked higher than the rest. Also the team with the fewest defeats will be at the top of the rankings. If all other factors are equal the teams will be ranked based on their head-to-head performances.
