India clinched the Asian Champions 2023 title for the fourth title with the score India 4-3 Malaysia. After this victory, India became the team to have won Asian Champions Trophy most times, ahead of Pakistan who have won the champions title three-times.

The final half-time score was 3-1 with Indian men’s hockey team in two goal deficit. but the fortune tables turned around with Malaysia losing the nearly won final.
For the bronze, the match was moreover a repeat of the 2021 final, in which Japan the reigning Asian Games champion continued their impressive performance and defeated Korea 5-3.

Day 4 resulted in India and Malaysia booking semifinal berths. India and Malaysia continued their winning streak and defeated South Korea and Japan respectively.
Pakistan had their first win which moved them to fourth position. China exited as they have not won any of four match played.

The 7th Asian Champions Trophy, is being held from 3rd to 12th August, in India’s Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium, Chennai.
History-Asian Champions Trophy
Asian Hockey Men’s Champions Trophy started in 2011 with top six Asian teams in competition. The Trophy till 2013 was an annual affair. However, since 2016 it is being staged every two years.
Winner’s: Pakistan and India have lifted the trophy three times each and in 2018 shared it. South Korea won the 2021 edition.
