London – The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has dismissed Uzbekistan tennis player Sanjar Fayziev’s appeal against a Tennis Anti-Corruption Program (TACP) sanction imposed in October 2023.

Fayziev, who reached a career-high world singles ranking of 253 in 2017, was found guilty of committing five breaches of the TACP related to two matches in 2018.

The CAS tribunal upheld the three-and-a-half-year suspension, with six months suspended, issued by independent Anti-Corruption Hearing Officer Janie Soublière.

The appeal hearing was held via video conference on May 14, 2024. Fayziev’s period of ineligibility remains unchanged, beginning on July 25, 2023, and ending at midnight on July 24, 2026, subject to no further breaches of the TACP.

During the suspension, Fayziev is prohibited from participating in, coaching, or attending any tennis events sanctioned by the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) members, including ATP, ITF, WTA, Tennis Australia, Fédération Française de Tennis, Wimbledon, and USTA.

The ITIA is an independent body established to promote and safeguard the integrity of professional tennis events worldwide.
