THAILAND: According to WBSC, Softball will be one of 30 sports in the World Games 2021 in Birmingham, Alabama, USA.
This was based on the decision taken at the IWGA Annual General Meeting, held on 15th April 2018.
In all 37 international federation of sports that are members of the IWGA – International World Games Association, including WBSC, had applied for being featured at the World Games 2021 Birmingham. Softball was part of the first World Games 1981 in Santa Clara, USA, and also featured last at the World Games 2013 in Cali, Colombia.
Held every four years the World games are endorsed by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). It is a major event with around 3,600 athletes representing more then 100 countries competing.
