2nd SNGPL All Pakistan Tennis C’ship 2018: Main Round Results
Main round of 2nd SNGPL All Pakistan Tennis Championship 2018 started at the PLTA Tennis Courts at Bagh-e-Jinnah, Lahore.
In the tournament the categories included are: Men`s Single, Ladies Single, Men’s Doubles, Boys Under 18 Singles and Doubles, Girls Under 18, Boys Under 16, Boys Under 14 Singles and Doubles, Boys Under 12 Singles and Doubles, Boys Under 10, Mens 40 Plus, Mens 50 plus, Men’s 60 Plus.
In men’s single category, fourteen matches were played with one upset, in which an unseeded player from Peshawar Asadullah convincingly defeated eighth seeded Abdul Haider 6-4, 6-1. All the rest of seeded players qualified for the pre quarterfinals.
The overall results were:
- Aqeel Khan beat Syed Hadi Hussain by 6-0, 6-0.
- Muhammad Abid beat Israr Gul of KPK.
- Farhan Ullah Khan beat Jahanzeb by 6-3, 6-3.
- Usman Rafique beat Muhammad Khaliq by 6-4, 6-4.
- Yousaf Khan beat Shahid Afridi by 7-5, 6-3.
- Ijaz Khan beat Shahzad PAF by 6-4, 7-5.
- Abbas Khan beat Tanveer Munir by 6-2, 2-6, 6-2.
- Muhammad Mudasir Murtaza of Jahania beat Hassan Riaz of Lahore by 6-3, 6-4.
- Bakat Ullah beat Mian Bilal by 6-3, 6-3.
- Ahmed Babar beat Shakir ullah by 6-1, 6-0.
- Muhammad Shoaib of KPK beat Umer Babar of Lahore 6-4, 6-2.
- Ahmed Babar beat Shakir ullah by 6-1, 6-0.
- Zaid Mujahid beat Zaryab Peerzada by 6-1, 6-4.
- Heera Ashiq beat Zeeshan Ashraf by 6-1, 6-2.
The winning players have qualified for the for pre-quarterfinals.
