IPL Match Highlights:
· After making good starts to this IPL season, KKR and Kings XI Punjab had faced setbacks after they lost several matches in this IPL. Both teams faced each other today and hoped to win to increase their play-off inclusion chances.
· The match was being held in Indore and considering the conditions of the pitch, KKR captain Dinesh Karthik opted to bat in the 1st innings as they won the toss.
· KKR once again relied on their trump cards, Chris Lynn and Sunil Narine to take them to a flying start. And, it looked like they finally heard their captain as they began to decimate Kings XI Punjab bowlers right from the start.
· Both batsman shared a solid 52-run partnership stand before KXIP struck to remove Lynn off the crease. Robin Uthappa joined Narine on the crease who was looking in tantalizing form.
· As, finally KKR investment in the pinch-hitter showed as the all-rounder started to pull an all-round show with his bat. Ashwin tried every bowler but Narine was unforgiving as he destroyed every single bowler and hit them all over the park.
· However, finally the leading wicket-taker of this IPL struck as Narine fell to Andrew Tye but the platform had already been set by the West Indian and KKR properly cashed on it.
· Although, Uthappa also fell to Tye in the same over however, after he fell Andre Russell came and showed his aggressive followed by Karthik who struck a fifty to take KKR to a strong total.
· Shubman Gill also contribute with a 16-ball cameo as KKR put the highest IPL total on the board of 245 runs. Kings XI Punjab now needed 246 runs to win this match on this batting paradise.
. Gayle and the consistent KL Rahul walked out to open for Kings XI Punjab. Kings XI needed a good start and it was provided as both these batsmen played aggressive cricket to bring up yet another 50-run partnership between them.
· However, Gayle couldn’t fire today as he made the mistake of not being conservative against Chris Gayle and lost his wicket to his fellow West Indian. But this was not it as another wicket fell in the same over as Russell took the wicket of Agarwal in the same over.
· This triggered a collapse in Kings XI Punjab’s batting line-up as constant wickets were now falling in regular intervals as KKR tightened their grip over the match.
· Although some resistance was shown by Aaron Finch, Axar Patel and surprisingly R.Ashwin but it was not enough to take them near to KKR’s total as they lost the match by 31 runs.
· Nothing much can be said about this match other than the fact that KXIP need someone to step-up with KL Rahul if they need to win matches from here on and secure their play-offs spot.

IPL Match Highlights:
· Delhi faced RCB today and a loss for them would mean that they are out of the contention for making it to the IPL play-offs. On the other hand, RCB were also not in a very good position as they also needed to add some winning points to their IPL table.
· The match was being held in Delhi which meant that fast bowlers are going to be effective on this pitch. So, the match started as RCB won the toss and chose to field first.
· Delhi who had shown their batting prowess in the past couple of matches were hopeful of putting on a show again. Meanwhile, RCB relied on their fast bowlers to stop them.
· So, the 1st innings went underway as Shaw and Roy walked out to bat. Prithvi had been in good nick but it didn’t matter to Chahal as he took the young batsman’s wicket in the 1st over.
· Jason Roy also continued his lean patch in the IPL as Chahal struck again to get rid of the English batsman in the 3rd over. Delhi were now surely in trouble.
· Bt this is when Delhi’s saviours arrived in the form of Shreyas Iyer and the brilliant Rishabh Pant as both these batsmen attacked RCB bowlers to share a good partnership as Delhi headed towards a nice total.
· However, it was not long before Moeen Ali’s spin got the better of Pant as he holed out on 61 runs. Iyer also couldn’t hold out much longer as he departed in the 15th overs.
· But, a surprise package was waiting for RCB in the form of Abishek Sharma as the youngster blazed 46 runs off 19 balls to give Delhi a powerful total of 181 runs.
. RCB now needed 182 runs to win from 20 overs. The 2nd innings started after the break as RCB sent Moeen Ali along with Parthiv Patel to start their innings.
· However, both of these batsmen had a short stay at the crease as both got out in 3 overs. It certainly wasn’t a good match for openers as neither Delhi’s nor RCB’s openers could fire today.
· But it didn’t matter to RCB as then came the World class batting duo of ABD and Kohli. Both these batsmen showed their opposition as to why they are considered the most dangerous batsmen in T20 cricket.
· As, both of them rained down on Delhi’s bowlers to completely dismantle them. Although, Virat Kohli got out in the later part of the match but his 118-run stand with ABD had already put RCB in the winning position.
· The rest was done by ABD as he remained unbeaten on 72* runs and RCB won the match in the end to knock out Delhi from the play-offs contention.
