(La Liga Highlights) Match 1 of 10: Real Sociedad Vs Leganes

Result: 3 – 2

Goal Scorers:

• Real Sociedad: Mikel Oyarzabal 18’, Sergio Canales 25’, Willian Jose 78’ (P)
• Leganes: Diego Rico 26’, Miguel Angel Guerrero 53’

Highlights:

• An expected victory for Real Sociedad as they won the match against Leganes all thanks to a late 2nd half penalty.
• The 1st Half was dominated by Real and the 2nd half was also the same story, although some resistance was shown by Leganes in the latter half.
• An early lead was what allowed Real Sociedad to dominate the match from the beginning as Mikel and Sergio scored at the 18th and 25th minute, respectively.
•  In reply, Leganes also showed intent as Diego Rico scored one-minute later and the scoreboard read 2-1 at the end of the 1st half.
• The 2nd half was also started aggresively by Leganes and it paid off as Miguel managed to strike early at the 53rd minute and the scores were now level.
• Real Sociedad were dominating in the possesion department but this was not helping them in scoring a tie-breaker.
• But, it seemed like luck was on their side as they got a penalty and Willian scored it at the 78th minute after which the scoreboard read 3-2. This also became the result of the match as Leganes were unable to score any more goals.

(La Liga Highlights) Match 2 of 10: Alaves Vs Athletico Bilbao

Result: 3 – 1

Goal Scorers:

• Alaves: John Guidetti 43′, Munir El Haddadi 60′, Ibai Gomez 77′
• Athletico Bilbao: Iker Munian 79′

Highlights:

• It was always going to be a close match as both teams had only a one point difference between them before this match.
• But, Alaves were persistent enough to extend their lead as the won the match comfortably in the 2nd half.
• Despite, a dominant possession in most part of the match Athletico Bilbao could not take the lead as John Guidetti scored a goal at the 43rd minute to make the scoreboard 1-0.
• The 2nd half was even poor than the first one for Athletico Bilbao as Munir and Ibai Gomez struck at the 60th and 77th minute to further extend their team’s lead.
• Consolation came for Bilbao in some form when Iker Munian struck at the 79th minute. But, no other player could score any more goals as Bilbao lost the match by 3-1 in the end.
• The reason Bilbao lost this match is because they couldn’t convert their goal shots and Alaves scored in all of their accurate goal shots to move to 12th place in the La Liga rankings.

(La Liga Highlights) Match 3 of 10: Eibar Vs Las Palmas

Result: 1 – 0

Goal Scorers:

• Eibar: Charles 5′

Highlights:

• Early goals are always effective. This is a one line highlight of the whole match. As, Eibar’s player Charles struck a goal at the 5th minute as Eibar won the game in the end.
• Apart from Charles goal in the 1st half, no significant goal-scoring tries were made as the 1st half ended with Eibar leading the scoreboard by 1-0.
• Both teams went really good with their passing as the ball possesion was almost equal between them throughout the match.
• But, Sevilla’s defense was proving too good for the hosts as they were not allowing Real Madrid to score a single goal.
• The 2nd half was also the same story for Las Palmas as they continously failed to convert their goal-scoring chances.
• This is also where the game was lost by Las Palmas as there were not a significant amount of accurate shots at the goal.
• So, in the end Eibar won the match and broke into the Top 10 positions in the rankings as they are currently placed at No.9 in the La Liga Rankings.

(La Liga Highlights) Match 4 of 10: Getafe CF Vs Atletico Madrid

Result: 0 – 1

Goal Scorers:

• Atletico Madrid: Koke 8′

Highlights:

• This win moved Atletico Madrid one step closer to finishing 2nd on the La Liga table as they won this match by one goal.
• Atletico Madrid were put in the lead by Koke who struck at the 8th minute to put his team ahead in the scoring board.
• It could have been 2-0 in the first half if Costa had managed to win the one-on-one battle with the opposition’s goal-keeper however, he missed this chance as the 1st half ended on 1-0.
• The 2nd half saw Atletico Madrid focusing on keeping possesion as they looked to extend their lead. However, quite a few chances were missed by them.
• Getafe CF on the other hand, were looking for a chance to level the scoreboard and they got one in the form of a penalty in the 77th minute.
• However, Faycal Fajr failed to score the equaliser goal as Jan Oblak made a stunning save to keep Atletico in the lead.
• Atletico Madrid won the match and retained their 2nd postion on the La Liga table. And, with only one match remaining they certainly hope they can finish 2nd on the La Liga table.

(La Liga Highlights) Match 5 of 10: Valencia Vs Girona

Result: 0 – 1

Goal Scorers:

• Valencia: Luciano Vietto 61′

Highlights:

• Valencia retained their number 4 position at the table as they won the match against Girona by one goal.
• Despite several tries in the 1st half no team could score in the 1st half as it came to an end with the scoreboard being 2-0.
• The 2nd half started as both teams looked to open the scoring in this match. And, it was Valencia who finally succeeded in doing so.
• Luciano Vietto appeared to be the hero as he struck at the 61st minute to give his team the first goal of the match.
• On the other hand, Girona continued to take their chances at Valencia’s goal post without much success.
• However, despite keeping more possesion in the match Girona couldn’t convert their chances into goals as Valencia won the match in the end.
• After this Valencia gained another three points to take their total to 70 and remained in the 4th position of the table.

(La Liga Highlights) Match 6 of 10: Villarreal Vs Deportivo

Result: 4 – 2

Goal Scorers:

• Villarreal: Samu 2′, 45′, Manu Trigueros 31′, Denis Cheryshev 90+2′
• Deportivo: Borja Valle 58′, 88′

Highlights:

• An eventful match between Deportivo and Villarreal, as the latter won the game in the end.
• Villarreal showed their intent from the very first half of the match as Samu struck at the 2nd minute to give his team the scoring lead.
• He was followed by Manu who scored at the 31st minute to further increase the lead. Villarreal were not done yet as Samu struck again at the closing minutes of the 1st half Villareal took a lead of 3 goals in the 1st half.
• This was poor football from Deportivo who didn’t score any goal in the 1st half. However, they made a good comeback in the 2nd half.
• As, Borja Valle struck twice at the 58th and 88th minute respectively to score two goals for his team. Deportivo had a chance to tie the match by scoring one more goal.
• But, Villarreal took it away when Denis scored a goal in the dying moments of the match and the final score read 4-2.
•        After this match, Villarreal tied with Real Betis on the points table and are placed on 5th on the La Liga table.

(La Liga Highlights) Match 7 of 10: Real Betis Vs Sevilla

Result: 2 – 2

Goal Scorers:

• Real Betis: Mark Bartra 5′, Loren Moron 81′
• Sevilla: Wissam Ben Yedder 57′, Simon Kjaer 79′

Highlights:

• A much more interesting match than the previous one as both teams countered each other in the match to end it in a draw.
• The first half saw Real Betis’s player Marc Bartra scoring at the 5th minute to take the lead on the scoring board.
• On the other hand, Sevilla tried but failed to score any goals in the 1st half as it came to an end with Real Betis leading from the front.
• Frankly, the 2nd half was much more interesting than the 1st half as you would also witness if you keep on reading.
• Sevilla weren’t going to sit back as Wissam netted the ball at the 57th minute to score the 1st goal for Sevilla.
• He was followed by Simon who scored another goal as Sevilla took the lead in this match by 1 goal. But, Real Betis had enough at this point as Loren Moren struck at the 81st minute to tie the scoreboard.
• After that no goals were scored by either side as the match came to an end.

(La Liga Highlights) Match 8 of 10: Real Madrid Vs Celta Vigo

Result: 6 – 0

Goal Scorers:

• Real Madrid: Gareth Bale 13′, 30′, Isco 32′, Achraf Hakimi 52′, Sergi Gomez 74′ (OG), Toni Kroos 81′.

Highlights:

• Who knew that the last match of the day was going to be so exciting!. As despite Cristiano Ronaldo not playing in the match Real Madrid humiliated Celta Vigo as they won by a 6-0 margin over their opponents.
• The 1st half of the match witnessed three goals. Two goals were struck by Bale and one goal was struck by Isco at the 13th, 30th and 322nd minute respctively.
• On the other hand, Celta Vigo had seemed cluless as the 1st half ended with Real Madrid leading the scoreboard by 3-0.
• Celta Vigo never looked to bounce back as the same story repeated itself in the 2nd half. First Hakimi struck at teh 52nd minute as score became 4-0.
• The to add further salt on their wounds, Sergi Gomez of Celta Vigo scored an own goal to further send his team into humiliation.
• However, ithe final touches were still remaining by Real Madrid as Tony Kroos struck at the 81st minute to take the lead to 6-0 after which no goals were scored from either side and Real won the match.
• This win was good in terms of Gareth Bale’s return to form as he will surely be a player to look out for in the upcoming Champion league’s final.
