India equalized the score to force a penalty shootout but Australia outclassed Indians in the penalties to clinch the Champions Trophy title.

Champions Trophy Finals: India played an excellent hockey to hold Australia to 1-1 draw in the regular time, but lost in the penalty shoot.
Through out the match, India kept pressure on the opponents, but could not score. Atleast thrice narrowly missed the goal.
