In the third set, Dudi Sela was playing brilliantly in the start but Rafael Nadal suddenly started scoring at a very fast pace. After some time, Rafael Nadal easily defeated him by a margin of four points and advanced to the next round.

Summary: Although, David Goffin opened the scoring of the first set but he failed to win it in the end as the Australian player, Matthew Ebden scored the last two points in a quick succession. Summary: A sensational fight was seen between Robin Haase and Marius Copil throughout the match. The first set came on a tie-breaker after a tough fight, but Robin Haase won it in the end. However, again a brilliant effort was shown from both the players in the second set but in the end, the Romanian player, Marius Copil again lost it by two points.

In the third set, Marius Copil came in action as he dominated the Frenchmen, Robin Haase in the end by a margin of two points. However, Robin Haase won the next set on the tie-breaker and sealed his place into the next round.

Summary: Both the players showed an outclass performance in all the sets. The American player, Frances Tiafoe and Fernando Verdasco gave their best in the first set as it eventually came to a tie-breaker. However, Frances Tiafoe won on the tie break and the match came to the second set. A tough battle was again witnessed in the second set as it came to a tie-break. But again Frances Tiafoe won this time.

The third set started and Fernando Verdasco came in action as he eventually won the set by a margin of three points. However, Frances Tiafoe took revenge in the fourth set as he dominated Fernando Verdasco by three points in the end.

In the third set, the American player, Jack Sock was playing confidently but Matteo Berrettini suddenly started scoring points quickly and soon won the set by two points in the end. Summary: An eye catching performance was witnessed between Simone Bolelli and Pablo Cuevas in all the three sets. After a tough fight in the first set, the set eventually came to a tie-breaker. The Italian, Simone Bolelli won the set on the tie-break in the end as Pablo Cuevas lost some points on his serve. In the second set, a tough battle was again witnessed between the two players, as the set again came to a tie-breaker.

However, this time it was again Simone Bolelli who sealed his win in this set and the match moved to the third set. Pablo Cuevas got into pressure after his loss in both the sets and faced a humiliating defeat in the third set as he was not able to score more than a point throughout the match.

However, in the next set, the Spaniard player, Albert Ramos Vinolas struggled hard to win this set but again he faced a terrific defeat as he was not able to score more than two points against Stephane Robert. Summary: An absolute and outstanding performance was witnessed by Novak Djokovic in all the three sets. Tennys Sandgren put up a good fight in the first set but Novak Djokovic easily dominated him as the American player, Tennys Sandgren failed to score more than a total of three points throughout the set.

Match: Marcos Baghdatis vs Dominic Thiem
Summary: Despite facing a tough fight in the first set, the Cypriot player, Marcos Baghdatis won it in the end as he scored the last two points in a quick succession. However, the Austrian star player, Dominic thiem again gave a tough fight to Marcos Baghdatis in the second set but again he lost it as Dominic got injured in the end of the set.

However, Dominic Thiem continued to play the third set but after some time, he stopped the game and took retirement from the Wimbledon 2018. It was a major upset at the start of Wimbledon and for Dominic Thiem fans.
