KP Amateur Golf Championship: 51st Edition Commences 28th September
The 51st Edition of the Amateur Golf Championship is scheduled to be held from 28th to 30th September, 2018 at the Piffer Golf & Country Club in Abbottabad. This was announced by the KPGA – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Golf Association, which has been regularly hosting the 51 year old event.

The noteworthy aspect of this Championship is the 3 Cups, which date back to 1929 -34, and are presented to winners of various performances and categories. These Cups are:
- Bolton Cup which was presented by Mr. Bolton in 1929.
- Challenge Cup was presented by Maj Vernan in 1929.
- Gai Cup was presented by Mrs. Gai in 1934.
This is the first time that KPGA is its efforts to promote golf in province, is organizing the KP Amateur Golf Championship at Piffer Golf & Country Club, Abbottabad.
This championship is one of the major and top golfing event of the country where the top golfers of Pakistan participate in various categories. which are:
- Amateurs – Handicap 12 & below
- Senior Amateurs – Handicap 14 & below
- Subsidiary – HCP 13-18
- Ladies Amateurs – Handicap 24 & below
- Veterans & Boys Category “A” & “B”
The Defending champions are:
Amateurs Men – Bolton Cup
- Inayat Ullah Yosafzai – Peshawar
b. Amateurs Men – Challenge
- Taimoor Khan – Peshawar
c. Amateurs Ladies – Gai Cup.
- Ami Qin – Islamabad
