The Alla på snö (Everyone on Snow) program has been the cornerstone for the future of Swedish snow sports. Operating since 2009, the program has received numerous accolades including third and second place finishes in the FIS SnowKidz Awards and regular visits from fond supporter Prince Daniel of Sweden. Now in 2016/2017, it is set to expand.
For the coming season, the Alla på snö team has re-invested its SnowKidz Award prize money and expanded the tour from 36 to 42 events. It is the third consecutive season that the program has grown. To back up the strong tour, Alla på snö will once again activate their hugely popular Stockholm World Snow Day action. Situated in the heart of the city, the event sees hundreds of children obtain a chance to explore enjoy and experience snow sports.
FIS President Gian Franco Kasper commented:
“The expansion is reflective of the great work by the Swedish Ski Association. The actions will continue to have great benefits for Swedish snow sports beyond the competitive side to the sport.”
