BWF – Badminton World Federation announced the new schedule of the Badminton events to be held during 2020. This indicates the resumption of competitive badminton, which as most of the sports faced a suspended period due to the coronavirus attack.
The revised schedule of BWF World Tour in 2020 is as follows: Taipei Open (Taipei) – September 1-6 Korea Open (Seoul) – Septemeber 8-13 China Open (Changzhou) – September 15-20 Japan Open (Tokyo) – Septemeber 22-27 Denmark Open (Odense) – October 13-18 French Open (Paris) and New Zealand Open (Auckland) – October 20-25 Macau Open (Macau) – October 27-November 1 China Open (Fuzhao) – November 3-8 Hong Kong Open (Hong Kong) – November 10-15 Indonesia Open (Jakarta) and Syed Modi International (Lucknow) – November 17-22 Malaysia Open (Kuala Lumpur) and Korea Open (Gwangju) – November 24-29 Thailand Open (Bangkok) – December 1-6 India Open (New Delhi) – December 8-13 BWF World Tour Finals (Guangzhou) – December 16-20 |
The Ten lower-category events have been cancelled while – Swiss Open, German Open, Australian Open and European Championships were suspended and new dates are awaited.
