The management of the EuroLeague has officially announced that the postponed season of the year 2019-2020, has been cancelled. The decision has left many basketball fans disappointed.
With the notification of its cancellation, many fans were curious to know that who had been crowned the champion for the season. The governing authority, hence, revealed that there was no winner for the season and that the next season will have a fresh start. This has left the fans dismayed.

It was not only the news of the cancellation that the management gave. They have also informed that the planned starting dates for two main 2020-2021 tournament seasons have not been changed and will be as follows:
- EuroLeague seasons – 1st October 2020
- EuroCup – 30th September 2020
Professional basketball may not be played in Europe for some time, though with the recent report that the USA NBA-National Basketball Association is in talks with the Walt Disney World, thereby, it might not be long from the time that we shall see basketball being played again.
