The highly-anticipated World Masters Squash Championships has, unfortunately, been postponed to 2021. The WSF-World Squash Federation announced the decision stating the corona virus as the reason of the postponement.
The event had been originally planned to take place in August 2020, but has now been moved back by almost a year to 15-21 August 2021. The age groups that had been added to the 2020 edition shall count.

Hasta La Vista, one of the biggest squash clubs of the world shall be hosting the rescheduled Championships. As per the plans, the tournament will be staged in Wroclaw, Poland. This will not be the first time the venue shall be hosting squash events. The World Junior Championships of 2013, the European Masters and Team Championships of 2017 and 2018 as well as the 2017 World Games were hosted at the same venue.
William Louis-Marie, the Chief Executive of the WSF, thanked the Hasta La Vista club for enabling the event to go on. Further, he was disappointed on the announcement of the suspension, however, this was the best decision to keep the staff and the players safe.
Likewise, the owner of the hosting club, Zenon Waniak, welcomed the players and mentioned that he himself was excited for this Championships and its unique atmosphere.
