All international sporting events including esports which were to be held during remaining 2020 in China have been cancelled by the the government, according to media reports.
The announcement of cancellation by the government will probably also change the schedule of the TJ Sports event, namely the League of Legends World Championship, which is to be held in Shanghai, China during later 2020.
Till now, various media reports, including esport analysts and organizers both Tencent and TJ Sports were confident that the World Championship will proceed during 2020.
According to reports, the only exception would be the trials for the 2022 Winter Olympic Games, which will continue to be held in Beijing and Zhangjiakou. However, China’s General Administration of Sports have cancelled all other 2020 sporting event.
