Pakistan played its first T20 against West Indies on 26th March . The game was dominated by its youngest player, an 18-year old Pakistan leg spinner Shadab Khan who enjoyed a debut that bordered on the surreal. He took 3 wickets in 4 overs with 17 dot balls and gave only 7 runs with the economy rate of 1.75,which is the best in T20 till date. Pakistan eventually went on to win the match by 6 wickets and Shadab won the man of the match award for his debut match in style.
Shadab made his First class T20 debut on 26 August 2016 for Rawalpindi in the 2016-2017 National T20 Cup.He played for Islamabad United in PSL 2017 and was identified as one of the best leg spinners to watch due to his dangerously unpredictable guile in variation, specially the googly. He is inspired by Shane Warne and currently being mentored by Mushtaq Ahmed.
