Cristiano Ronaldo became the second footballer to score 100 goals. This feat he achieved while playing against Sweden in the Nations League match. Ronaldo’s first goal for his country was scored against Greece during Euro 2004.
After this he joins Iran’s Ali Daei who till Ronaldo scored was the only male players to score 100 goals in international soccer. He is eight goals short of equaling Ali’s 109 international goals record.
The record was made by the 35-year-old Portuguese forward, when he was presented before halftime with a free-kick. Ronaldo hit a powerful kick which passed close to the goalkeepers Olsen’s fingertips and just under the crossbar landed in the net. His and Portugal’s second goal was scored in the 72nd minute.
