The Red Card was shown to the PSG superstar Neymar and four other footballers during Ligue 1 match between PSG and Marseille at Parc des Princes, Paris, France. In total 19 cards – 5 Red and 14 Yellow were shown during the game.
As a result of the cards Marseille availed the opportunity and defeated PGG 1-0, for the very first time after 20 game losses since 2011.
The only goal of the match was scored by Florian Thauvin for Marseille during 31st minute.
Red card was initially shown to Layvin Kurzawa and Leandro Paredes of PSG after clash with Marseille players. The brawl spread and Neymar also joined it. His fault was that he hit a slap on body of Alvaro Gonzalez while accusing him of racism. A VAR review confirmed the situation and a red card was shown to him.
The red cards were also shown to Dario Benedetto and Jordan Amavi during the same incidence.
Fourteen yellow cards were also shown to different players during this match by referee Jerome Brisard.
Neymar was playing his first match after recovery from the corona disease.
PSG is the current title holder of Ligue 1 but has lost initial two matches during 2020 season.
