World No. 1 S Halep is set to contest the final match of the Italian Open 2020 against World No. 2 K Plíšková for the women’s single title.
During the semi finals S Halep defeated World No. 9 G. Muguruza 2-1 (6-3, 4-6, 6-4).
On the other hand, K Plíšková won from World No. 12 M. Vondroušová 2-0 (6-2, 6-4) to qualify for the final match.
In the Quarter Finals, Halep was beating Y. Putintseva 2-0 (6-2, 2-0) when she got walkover
The tournament commenced on 12th and will culminate on to 21st September in Rome. The Italian Open 2020 with a prize money of € 5.9 million, is part of ATP Association of Tennis Professionals Tour Masters 1000.
