PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tennis No. 1 Aqeel Khan, 18th time in a row lifted the trophy of the 36th Chief of the Air Staff
Khyber Cup Open Tennis Championship after defeating Shehzad Khan. Aqeel Khan won the final in straight sets with the score 6-4, 6-3 and 6-3. Both players played competitive game but Aqeel had full command over his opponent with his forceful double handed smashes and some good Ace serves.
In the other categories the winners were:
Boys Under-18: Muhammad Shoaib beat Ahmad Kamil by 2-0, 7-5 and 7-6.
Veterans Doubles: Irfan Ullah and Mehmood Khan of PAF beat Israr Gul and Jehanzeb by 2-0, 6-3 and 6-4.
Men Doubles: Shehzad and Yasir defeated Aqeel and Hira Ashaq by 2-0, the score was 7-5 and 7-5.
Under-10 category Shasawar defeated Arsalan Khan by 2-1, the score was 6-2, 3-6 and 6-4.
Under-14 category Faizan Shahid beat Sami Zain by 6-1, 7-5 (6-6).
