Anthony Joshua wrote history in British boxing records by defeating Ukrainian Vladimir Klitschko in the 11th round to win IBF, WBA and IBO world heavyweight titles in front of 90,000 fans at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.
Joshua, Britain’s unbeaten IBF title holder , knocked down his opponent ,the 41-year-old former champion Klitschko in the 11th and penultimate round with the referee stepping in to save Klitschko from more punishment.
Termed as the biggest fight night staged in a Britain with the largest crowd for a boxing show in for 78 years, the show really lived up to the expectations.
It was an enthralling contest which saw both players clamber off the canvas seemingly on the verge of defeat and ended up as one of the memorable great heavyweight title fights.
