#3 Evin Lewis (West Indies)
The only reason why the West Indies would not miss the “Universe Boss” known as Chris Gayle is because of Evin Lewis. As the Windies opener has more or less the same power hitting capabilities that his team mate, Gayle possesses.
Evin Lewis did not come into the limelight until he scored a century against India in only 49 balls. During this knock his five consecutive sixes in five balls during was a clear indication of the batsman’s immense potential to hit sixes at will.
This was not the end of his hot form as he registered another century against India and single handedly took the match away from the Indians.
But, the best knock of Evin Lewis came when he was playing in West Indies T20 domestic league. The match was against Barbados Trident in which Evin Lewis struck 97 runs in 32 balls. His innings consisted of 11 sixes and this was true display of his batting power and grit.
This innings also makes him as one of the contenders to break Aaron Finch’s World record of 172 runs.
