Kulsoom Hazara – Karate

Kulsoom Hazara faced gigantic odds of back-to-back family tragedies and financial hardships to overcome a plethora of challenges and went on to make her mark in the domain of competitive karate at both national and international levels.

Kulsoom won 1 gold and 1 silver medals in 13th South Asian games in 2019. She also won 2 gold medals each in National games and National Women Karate Championship in 2019.

Mallak Faisal Zafar – Figure Skating

Mallak Faisal Zafar became the first Pakistani athlete to win any figure skating championship for her country in 2019.

12-year-old Mallak topped the leaderboard at the 24th International Eiscup Inssbruck in Austria in November this year.

Mallak started skating from the very young age of five and though currently based in Dubai, she hopes to qualify for Winter Olympics and represent Pakistan there.

Muhammad Asif – Snooker

Muhammad Asif won the IBSF World Snooker Championship in December 2019, his second time since he first won the championship in 2012.

Asif is the fifth cueist to win two championship titles and only Pakistani to do so. He has also claimed several victories for his country in other single and team contests.

Nida Dar – Women Cricket

Pakistani All-rounder was the only cricketer from the National squad to be included by the International Cricket Council (ICC) in its 2019 T20I team, no doubt a prestigious honor.

Nida played nine T20I matches in the calendar year 2019 and scored 272 runs and also claimed 8 wickets. She scored the second-fastest T20I half-century with an amazing inning of 75 for just 37 balls against South Africa.

Nida also became the first-ever Pakistani female cricketer to sign a contract with an international league when Sydney Thunders picked her up for their 2018/19 Big Bash League.
