Copa Del Rey – Semi Final
Real Madrid inflicted heavy defeat on arch rivals and current La Liga leaders Barcelona when they beat them 4 – 0 at Camp Nou in the return leg of the second semifinal of Copa Del Rey. After overcoming the one goal deficit of the first leg in the first half, current Ballon D’or winner Karim Benzema scored a hat-trick in the second half to propel Real Madrid to the final of the competition.

Considered one of the most prestigious national cup trophies in the world, Copa Del Rey, instituted in 1903, is the oldest Spanish football competition played at national level. Organized on knock-out basis, 126 teams compete for the top honors. Real Madrid will face Osasuna in the final, who beat Athletic Club 2 – 1 on the aggregate in the other semifinal. Real Betis won the trophy last year.
