La Liga
Still the last Matchday to go, but Barcelona has already been crowned champions of the La Liga. Ten matches were decided in the Spanish top league on Matchday 37 of 38. The results were mostly to the form. The results are as appended below.

La Liga
Barcelona had lifted the La Liga trophy in front of their home crowd at Camp Nou on Matchday 35 due to their clear lead at the top of the table. Ten matches were decided in the Spanish top league on Matchday 36 of 38. The results were mostly to the form but in a major upset, recently crowned Barcelona suffered their second consecutive defeat, that too at the hands of relegation threatened Valladolid. Atletico Madrid played a draw, allowing Real Madrid to climb to the second position.
Barcelona Vs. Real Sociedad
Valladolid played a well-coordinated and cohesive game. Certainly, they were the better team of the day and deserved their win. It appears that Barcelona’s loss may be attributed to their complacent attitude of already securing the trophy. Still, Valladolid effort was a top-notch performance
Atletico Madrid 3 – 3 Espanyol
In an astonishing display, Espanyol overcame a 3 goal deficit and drew the game. Atletico scored in 21st, 44th and 46th minute. Espanyol took their chances and leveled the match by scoring in 64th, 76th and 79th minutes. The complacency caused the 2nd placed Atletico to surrender their position to Real Madrid.

Manchester City have retained their title as exciting activity was witnessed in the closing stages of EPL as teams endeavor for better standings. There were upsets and their consequences. Matchday 37 of 38 witnessed 9 matches on the weekend and one match on Monday saw relegation threatened Leicester City drawing with Newcastle and allowing Manchester United to jump to 3rd position. In two leftover matches of Matchday 32, Manchester United defeated Chelsea 4 – 1 whereas Manchester City were held to a draw by Brighton. Results are given below.
