Caught in the daily hustle and bustle of modern life, one tends to forget that we are on an organic spaceship flying across the universe at a terrifying speed. The video visually shares with us such a moment, as it provides a phenomenal glimpse into the wonderful world waiting for us outside the cubicles and bedrooms. It comprehensively captures the extent of earth’s rotation on its axis portrayed by a rotating sky due to time lapse photos.
This magnificent display of Divine nature will make all of us who engage in outdoor activities such as hiking, bird watching and outside sports feel content. It will make us realise that how important is it for being connected with our inner beings and with the outside environment as well.
Just enjoy the video and think about the sheer scope and extent of a limitless Divine universe!
Clicked by Astrophotographer Aryeh Nirenberg, the 55-seconds-long exceptionally beautiful video was made using an equatorial tracking mount. He aligned it with North Star & kept clicking photos every 12 seconds for the next three hours. The camera is looking at the same portion of the milky way & hence it appears stationary but the whole landscapes slowly rotates due to the movement of Earth.
Another amazing fact revealed while watching the above video was how the rotation and revolution of Earth around its axis and the sun dictates the diurnal cycle and control our daily lives. It is just a remarkable fact that when those in Australia are enjoying the early morning rounds of Tennis ATP Cup, Americans are having their nightly Baseball game and at the same time, Dakar Rally participants are racing through the Afternoon Arabian desert.
