According to Epic Games Twitter account the 2020 Fortnite World Cup on location event stands cancelled.
It was also announced that all the Fortnite competitions remaining during 2020 will be played online.
Due to the recent World Cup cancellation development, Epic Games management has decided to recall the official broadcasts of games. The first broadcast will be of the US $ 2 Million FNCS – Fortnite Championship Series Invitational on Saturday, 1sy May.
FNCS will be played for three regular weekends. Played on individual competition basis, the event participants includes the best players, including some players who are invited by Epic Games.

On the heels of crowning this season’s FNCS Champions, we’re excited to announce our next round of competition is right around the corner: The FNCS Invitational.
Beginning Saturday, May 9, the FNCS Invitational will take place over the following three weekends. We’re inviting the best of the best in each region:
- The top 100 players from Chapter 2; Season 2 PC FNCS Finals
- The top 100 players from Chapter 2; Season 2 Console/Mobile FNCS Finals
- The top 100 players from Chapter 2; Season 1 FNCS Finals
- The top 100 players from Season X FNCS Finals
- Up to 100 players invited directly by Epic
Interested in participating yourself? On May 2, we’ll kick off an Open Qualifier for Champion ranked players. An additional 100 players in each region will have an opportunity to earn an invite to the FNCS Invitational, giving you the chance to play against some of the biggest names in Competitive Fortnite and a share of the $2,000,000 prize pool.
This event will be a Solo competition, use a new scoring format, and will feature its own prizing each week. Only the best performing players will advance to the following week. Check back here and on Twitter @FNCompetitive for the latest updates.
