English Premier League
In the only fixture in EPL on 3rd April, Tottenham Hotspur and Everton played a 1-1 draw at Goodison Park. Tottenham went ahead in 68th minute when Harry Kane netted from the spot. To their great disappointment, M. Keane equalized for Everton in the 90th minute. Despite having 61% possession, Tottenham could not convert their chances as Everton goalkeeper J. Pickford defended brilliantly. As a result of the draw, both teams earned one point each which enabled Tottenham to climb to fourth position temporarily ahead of Manchester United with same 50 points but better goal difference, although Manchester United have played two games less, 27 compared with 29 for Tottenham. Thus there are chances that MU will regain their lost position if they win their next ties. Everton also climbed three positions to 15th after earning the draw.
La Liga
In the Spanish top league, there was also a solo fixture where Valencia and Rayo Vallecano played a 1 – 1 draw. Rayo went ahead early when S. Comesana netted in 9th minute. However, Valencia equalized when J. Kluvert converted a penalty in 82nd minute. A win would have been a booster for either team as Rayo are currently 7th on the points table whereas only three teams are below Valencia at the bottom.

Two matches were played in Italy’s top league with the results as follows:
- Sassuolo 1 – 1 Torino
