The Hockey legendary Olympian Asad Malik aged 78 died ( إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ – Surely we belong to ALLAH-GOD and to Him shall we return) in a road accident.
He was known for his memorable performances which facilitated Pakistan to win 3 Gold Medals and 3 Silver Medals in Olympic Games and Asian Games from 1962 to 1972.

Born on 30th October 1941, Late Mr. Asad was honoured by Government of Pakistan with Pride of Performance Award. Furthermore,
Pakistan Post issued stamps depicting him and his sports actions.
Funeral of the deceased Asad Malik will be held on 28th July at Jinnah Park, Sheikhupura.
