LAHORE: Master Paints Black and Diamond Paints won their respective matches in the Aquafina Lahore Garrison Polo Championship 2019 played at the LPCC – Lahore Polo & Country Club.
Master Paints Black Vs Artema Medical/Black Horse
In the first match of the day, Master Paints Black thumped Artema Medical/Black Horse by 11-7. Ahmed Ali Tiwana emerged as hero of the day with fabulous five goals while Manuel Eduardo Carranza slammed in four goals and Ahmed Zubair Butt and Sufi Muhammad Amir hit one goal each. From the losing side, which had two goals handicap advantage, Ahmed Bilal Riaz and Hamza Mawaz Khan struck three and two goals respectively.
Black Horse Paints started the match well and fired in a field goal to have 1-0. Master Paints Black fought back well and thrashed three back-to-back goals to gain 3-1 lead. In the dying moments of the first chukker, Black Horse Paints converted one to reduce the margin to 3-2. Master Paints once again played tremendous polo and hammered another hat-trick to stretch their lead to 6-2. Black Horse also struck one to reduce the deficit to 6-3.
The third chukker was identical to the second one, as Master Paints once again smashed in a hat-trick against one by Black Horse to enjoy 9-4 lead. The fourth and last chukker saw Master Paints adding two more in their tally against one by Black Horse to finish the match having 11-5 lead. With two goals handicap for Black Horse, the final score was 11-7 in favour of Master Paints Black.
Diamond Paints Vs Monnoo Polo
In the second match of the day, Diamond Paints hammered Monnoo Polo by 11-4.5. Hissam Ali Hyder was star of the day as he pumped in impressive eight goals while Mir Huzaifa Ahmed banged in a brace and Raja Arslan Najeeb hit one. From the losing side, which had a half goal handicap, Amirreza Behboudi hammered a hat-trick while Babar Monnoo scored one goal.
Diamond Paints opened their account with a field goal to take 1-0 lead, which was soon equalised by Monnoo Polo at 1-1. Diamond Paints dominated the second chukker by converting a quartet to gain 5-1 lead while Monnoo Polo struck one to reduce it to 5-2. Diamond Paints maintained their supremacy in the third chukker as well as they thrashed a hat-trick against one by Monnoo Polo to have 8-3 edge. The fourth and last chukker was identical to the third one as once again Diamond Paints hammered a hat-trick of goals against one by Monnoo Polo to finish the match at 11-4.
