WA-World Archery and the organizers of The 2020 World Archery Field Championships to be held in Yankton, USA, have announced postponement of the event till 2022.
The world’s archery field event is held as a primary qualifier for the planned World Games in Birmingham.
As many global sports events this events has been delayed due to the coronavirus attack. It was originally scheduled for 2021 but shifted to 2022 in view of the delay of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
A combined decision was taken by WA – World Archery and Yankton organising committee primarily to safeguard the participating athlete’s.
The event was to be held at NFAA Easton Yankton Archery Center, the world’s largest exclusive archery facility. It has been a venue for the world indoor and world youth championships. Yankton will also be hosting World Archery Championships during 2021.
