Badminton Asia: Pakistan Elected Development Chairman; Pak to Hold Int’l Event
According to PBF – Pakistan Badminton Federation,Mr. Wajid Ali Chaudhry – Secretary General, Pakistan Badminton Federation has been elected as the Chairman, Development Committee of Badminton Asia for next four years.
This was officially announced during the Annual General Meeting of Badminton Asia, held at Nanning, China on 25th May, 2019.
Mr. Wajid Ali Chaudhry, is the first Pakistan Badminton official to be elected for this major post of Badminton Asia. His election gives major credibility to Pakistan and to the progression of Badminton in the country.
Further, it has been announced that the PBF will host the Pakistan International Series Badminton Tournament from 7-10 November, 2019 at Islamabad. The Badminton World Federation and Badminton Asia have approved this International event and included it in the BWF Calendar of Events 2019. It will be also 2020 Olympic qualifying tournament.
