Bangladesh has agreed to visit Pakistan to play all their matches in the country but has opted for a three-legged tour.
According to a public statement by the PCB – Pakistan Cricket Board, team Bangladesh will be visiting Pakistan in January, March and April and all matches will be played in Pakistan.
As mutually agreed between PCB and BCB, the final schedule of the Pakistan Vs Bangladesh Tour 2020 is as follows:
- 24 Jan – 1st T20I, Lahore
- 25 Jan – 2nd T20I, Lahore
- 27 Jan – 3rd T20I, Lahore
- 7-11 Feb – 1st Test, Rawalpindi
- 3 Apr – One-off ODI, Karachi
- 5-9 Apr – 2nd Test, Karachi
As the fifth edition of PSL – Pakistan Super League is set to last from 22nd February to 20th March, the third leg of the series will be played in April with one ODI match scheduled for 3rd April and a second test match from 5th-9th April in Karachi.
Both countries reached a consensus on the unconventional schedule after weeks of negotiations marked by back-and-forth communications between two boards and governments as well.
On the other hand, the PCB had dismissed the security concerns citing the recent successful tour of the Sri Lankan cricket team and had threatened the BCB to cancel the T20I series if test-series was not played in Pakistan.
