Pakistan’s Aisamul Haq Qureshi and his partner Florin Mergea beat the German-Austrian pair of Philipp Petzschner and Alexander Peya 6-4, 6-3 to win the Barcelona Open title.
The winning pair had earlier in the quarter-finals eliminated world number one doubles pair John Peers and Henri Kontinen 6-4, 6-4 followed up by winning the semi-finals by defeating Horia Tecau and Jean-Julien Rojer 6-3, 5-6, 14-12.
